Our Growing Practices
We are proud to be certified Organic (CCOF) from day one, and have recently become certified by the Real Organic Project. What does this mean?
We are conscious of how we use resources, including water, fuel, and packaging.
We have installed a hedgerow full of plants that bring in beneficial insects, reptiles, and birds.
We don’t use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
We believe in the adage “Care for the soil and it will care for you” - we plant cover crop every winter to build soil organic matter and sequester carbon.
These practices are certified by third-party agencies.
We are open to the public by appointment for farm tours - check our store to see more!
We support the work of:
Community Alliance for Family Farmers,
Farm to Fight Hunger,
and encourage others to learn more about these organizations.
